Devon Pendleton is a freelance journalist based in Brooklyn. Most recently she was an editor and web producer for NYSE Euronext where she helped build, launch and edit a network of branded websites targeting the investment community. Prior to her stint on Wall Street, Devon was a staff reporter with Forbes Magazine where she primarily covered entrepreneurs, the Middle East and billionaires. As lead researcher for Forbes’ annual Billionaires and Forbes 400 issues she valued hundreds of companies and assets from venture capital firms to Saudi Arabian chicken farms. She tracked down and made public billion-dollar fortunes in the US, Ireland, Australia, the UK and her favorite tycoon hunting grounds, the Middle East.
In between counting other people’s money she found time to write on the business of art, horse racing, filmmaking, mountain climbing, entertainment and other profitable pursuits.
She is fluent in French, has a working knowledge of Arabic (written Modern Standard and spoken Levantine) and can squeak by in Spanish.
